Summary: | 碩士 === 大同大學 === 通訊工程研究所 === 96 === Recently, wireless communication such as WiMAX, 3G communication and global network have been broadly developed, so the security of communication is very important. Elliptic curve cryptosystem (ECC) is one of the effectively public key cryptography systems. It is based on the difficulty to solve the discrete logarithm problem over the points on an elliptic curve. When ECC compared with other existing public key cryptosystems, the key size is smaller than other cryptosystems in equal security level.
In this thesis, we propose a novel left-to-right Non-adjacent Form (NAF) recoding algorithm. Besides, we devise a Bidirectional Non-adjacent Form (B_NAF) recoding algorithm and present an efficient design for Elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) processor. Finally, we verify the high performance of our processor by the simulation using FPGA simulation tools and C++ language.
