Summary:碩士 === 育達商業技術學院 === 企業管理所 === 96 === This research is based on the case study of ChipBond Technology Corporation’s merger and acquisition actions of APTOS and W.S.E, to explore the effects on operating performance. The objectives of this study are to provide some valuable suggestions to the case company, and some merger and acquisition advices to the assembly industry and to increase the successful probabilities or decrease the failure risks of the future enterprienuers for using merger and acquisition method. This study found that after merger and acquisition of APTOS, only production volume had the synergies; but after merger and acquisition of W.S.E, it showed have the synergies on operational businesses, production volume and operating performance. The results showed that the synergies of merger and acquisition would be influenced by industry’s prosperity and they have significant positive correlation. And the merger and acquisition’s synergies are better if the size of target company is small, because in order to overcome the differences involving different management philosophy, operational systems and corporate cultures are easiler.
