| Summary: | 碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 資訊工程研究所 === 96 === The explosive rate of growth of the internet has led to the development of several last-mile technologies to satisfy a high demand for band width. Broadband Fixed Wireless Access (BFWA) has as a promising solution for high speed access network. However, these limitations of conventional point-to-multipoint BFWA have prevented the wide-area deployment of the BFWA networks. This paper proposes a new architecture, called chordal ring network (CRN), which overcomes the difficulties in conventional BFWA systems. Base on the proposed architecture, a suitable transmission mode is selected, and the wireless node architecture is designed according to the operation of system. Also, this paper describes a routing algorithm to find a shortest path for CRN systems. Finally, the performance of proposed architecture is evaluated by computer simulation and the results are compared with conventional BFWA.
