Broadband Fixed Wireless Access (BFWA) has as a promising solution for high speed access network. However, these limitations of conventional point-to-multipoint BFWA have prevented the wide-area deployment of the BFWA networks. This paper proposes a new architecture, called chordal ring network (CRN), which overcomes the difficulties in conventional BFWA systems. Base on the proposed architecture, a suitable transmission mode is selected, and the wireless node architecture is designed according to the operation of system. Also, this paper describes a routing algorithm to find a shortest path for CRN systems. Finally, the performance of proposed architecture is evaluated by computer simulation and the results are compared with conventional BFWA. none 王文楓 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 29 en_US
