Two steps are used to develop the adaptive synchronization. First, we consider the master system is assumed system parameters are prior known and the control law is derived to achieve synchronization. Second, when the master system is assumed with unknown parameters, an adaptive law is developed to achieve adaptive synchronization. With these properties, an adaptive chaotic system are setup in the thesis. On the other hand, the extended kalman filter is also considered to adaptive synchronization. We consider the parameter modulation and chaotic masking apply to secure communication. The main advantage of using EKF is that the EKF is optimal filter in noise environment. Some numerical simulations can be used to verify the efficiency in the adaptive synchronization and the secure communication for different chaotic systems.
