People expect the nanomaterial push forward the evolutional development in industry. Furthermore, the mechanical properties and tribological properties of Nano Composites are also concerned. In the thesis, the polystyrene and aluminum oxide made by so-gel are mixed to make Nano Composite. Nano Composite was dispensed to the materials in four kinds of weight ratios with 1% AL2O3 and 99% PMMA, 3% AL2O3 and 97%, 5% AL2O3 and 95% PMMA and pure PMMA with dimension of 2 x 2 mm. The sample in this experience is produced by Injection Molding Machine, which is the most popular process for polymers, The TGA and MDSC analyses show that the glass transition temperature of material is not affected while the decomposition temperature is increasing. Then the pin-on-disk tribometer is used the wear rate and wear depth under different conditions of loading and sliding velocity are observed. An eddy current sensor was used to record the change of coefficient of friction. Besides, a tank was added to the tribometer so that both the dry and wet tribological properties of the sample can be detected. To avoid the influence of temperature, a heater and a temperature sensor are also implemented. Discovered by way of the experimental result that, after the increase aluminum oxide, under the dry abrasion, increases 1% aluminum oxide friction coefficient to be lowest. Meanwhile (water) may reduce the friction coefficient in the wet abrasion experiment; In wear rate the aspect, the pure pressure gram force previews wear rate has good in the dry abrasion, after increases 3% aluminum oxide to preview wear rate is worst in wet wear rate the abrasion.
