With the 5th-grade students of Jhengdong Elementary School in Douliu City, Yunlin County as our population, we randomly sample 46 students from those volunteers and randomly divide them into two groups: experimental group and control group, both of which are participated in a 12-week planned Taijiquan training program. For the experimental group, the Taijiquan training program is carried out three times per week and 40 minutes each time. And for the control group, we do not perform any exercise training. Before and after training, all testees shall accept such testing as the items of health-related physical fitness (including body composition, flexibility, muscle endurance, explosive power and cardiopulmonary endurance) and the multi-dimensional attention test. For the pre-test data, we test and analyze the homogeneity between both groups by the applied statistics software of SPSS for 12.0 and the dependent-sample T-test. For the post-test data, we test and analyze the interaction between both groups by the dependent-sample T-test and the one-way ANCOVA (Analysis of Covariance) with independent sample. If the result reached the level of significance, then we would make a post-hoc comparison. As the level of significance is set as α=.05, then result is as below: 1. With the analysis by the dependent-sample T-test, we find that the experimental group’s post-test performances on flexibility, explosive power and sustained attention reach the level of significance. But there is not any significant difference for other items. 2. With the analysis of pre-training and post-training interaction by the one-way ANCOVA, we find that the flexibility and explosive power of the experimental group are better than those of the control group and also reach the level of significance. But there is not any significant difference for other items. The research is concluded that the Taijiquan training is helpful for the health-related physical fitness of elementary students, especially for flexibility and explosive power, both of which are the most significant. Therefore, we suggest that the frequency of Taijiquan training is at least three times per week if it is expected to improve the flexibility and explosive power of elementary students. none 蘇維杉 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 131 zh-TW
