Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 電機工程學系 === 96 === The thesis is studying the effect of LED white light source wavelength on the spectrum of LCD backlight unit. With the help of“ TracePro” software, the result of simulation of light rays emitting from white LEDs to the backlight unit and compared it with the actual measurement of the system. The white LED is obtained by using blue InGaN chip doped with different amount of phosphorus YAG. By using different combination of blue wavelength chip and different mixture of phosphorus YAG, it’s capable of generating different spectrum of white light. The spectrum from the backlight unit for different blue wavelength chip is measured. In this way the range of white light LED wavelength coped with industry standard can be defined.
