Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 犯罪防治所 === 97 === The main objective of this study is to explore the implementation and demand, for preventing students from drug abuse, of the military instructors in the districts of Yun-lin, Chiayi and Tainan, so that to present the result for future reference. This study employs investigation method. The questionnaire is designed with reference to the literature review and of the advisor’s opinion and is pre-tested. We developed “the questionnaire of the implementation and demand, for preventing students from drug abuse, of the military instructors in the districts of Yun-lin, Chiayi and Tainan,” by the modification of the pre-tested results. The 419 military instructors in the districts of Yun-lin, Chiayi and Tainan consist of the population. The valid sample is 368 out of 419. SPSS 12.0 is used for statistical analyses ( including Descriptive Statistics, Independent Sample T-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and Regression Analysis, etc., ). The results are as follows, I. Implementation 1. Military instructors exhibit a positive and active attitude toward the prevention of students’ drug abuse. 2. Military instructors can use opportunity teaching by means of news case and in the meantime integrate the anti-drug issues in the teaching activity. 3. City and county offices stress the promotion of drug abuse, but support from school principals and the related authorities need enhancing. 4. Schools are in lack of seed teachers and the doubts and worries from military instructors on the legalization of urine test form a bigger hindrance on the prevention of drug abuse. 5. Military instructors having related experiences of dealing with drug abuse of students have a better tendency in the demand of further education. 6. Senior military instructors have a better performance on the overall implementation. II. Demand 1. Military instructors have a high demand on the knowledge of the laws of students’ drug abuse and the processing measures. 2. Military instructors have a high demand on the teaching material and methods, those graduating from universities or colleges in particular. 3. Military instructors have a high expectation on the correlated coordination of the school authority. Based on the results of this study, in terms of, we suggested that military instructors ought to enrich the awareness of the prevention of drug abuse and enhance the related new knowledge in the legal aspect. In the respect of schools, the function of correlated units should be strengthened and the promotion of seed teachers should be accelerated. Additionally, schools need to hold the parent-child education program, to assist community in promoting the prevention of drug abuse, and to manage a healthy and friendly campus. In the aspect of educational authority, related workshops on the prevention of drug abuse should be held along with the development and provision of the multimedia teaching materials, and the experienced military instructors should be enlisted in the database in hope of offering correlated experiences and consultation.
