Questionnaire survey was conducted in this study. The subjects included 510 teachers randomly drawn in Chang-Hua County.The valid questionnaires retrieved were 451 copies. These collected data were analyzed through Descriptive Statistics, Independent-Samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson''s product-moment correlation analysis. The results of this study were as follows 1) The perception of the elementary school teachers’ professional development in Chang-Hua County was upper intermediate. 2) The perception of the elementary school teachers’ self-efficacy in Chang-Hua County was just above average. 3) Concerns the background factors with the elementary school teachers’ professional development, including age, seniority, education level and school scale. 4) Concerns the background factors with the elementary school teachers’ self-efficacy, including age, seniority and school scale. 5) Data analyses indicated a significant relationship existed between “the professional development” and “the self-efficacy”. According to the results of this study, offers the substantial suggestion that professional development level is an important factor influencing self-efficacy of elementary school teachers for educational administration agencies, schools, elementary school teachers and future researches.
