Textbooks from Grade 7 to Grade 9, in Nanyi, Kanshen, and Hanlin versions, 18 volumes total, have been chosen and analyzed. Owning to the purpose, this research used method of content analysis to analyze these textbooks. After counting the number and ration of the contents related to character education and analyzing these contents in details, the followings are the main research conclusions: 1.These versions have a very high percentage of the contents about character education in Civics textbook in junior high school. The average percentage is higher than 70%. 2.The fifth volume of those versions is the lowest percentage in the contents of character education, especially in the Nanyi version. 3.The highest percentage of main categories in the contents of character education is “Person and Society” and the lowest one is “Person and Nature”. 4.The“Self-Restraint” of subcategory gets the highest percentage in the “Person and oneself” of main category. 5.The“Justice”and“Respect”are in the majority in the“Person and Others”of main category. 6.The“Democracy”of subcategory gets the highest percentage in the“Person and Society”of main category. 7.The“Environmental Protection”of subcategory gets the highest percentage in the “Person and Nature”of main category. 李佩珊 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 183 zh-TW
