Using the trust as a mediator, we will further discuss the mediating effect between the awareness of supervisor’s ethical leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. This study has surveyed Taiwan central region based manufacturing industry more than 200 employees in different department (staff, manufacturing R&D, sales, finance, HR, etc.). The survey takes in the form of questionnaire survey and it is conducted in pairs. Each survey group is consists of one manager with five direct reports. The group survey not considered completed at least 3 employee or more responses collected. This study has distributed the questionnaires Survey to 150 groups. In total, we collected 105 groups which include 105 supervisor’s and 452 subordinates. The valid rate is 70%. The descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, one-way ANOVA, and structural equation modeling methods are used in the study. Further more, this study conducts variance inflation factor (VIF) to test the existence of the inter-variable collinearity relationship. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, the awareness of supervisor’s ethical leadership has a significant effect on employee’s organizational citizenship behavior. Second, the awareness of supervisor’s ethical leadership has a significant effect on employee’s trust. Third, the employee’s trust has a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Fourth, the mediating effect of trust between awareness of supervisor’s ethical leadership and organizational citizenship behavior is significant. The study finding show the higher the awareness of the supervisor’s ethical leadership, the more employee trusting their supervisor’s; the stronger degree of the trust that employee has, the easier for them to demonstrate the positive organizational citizenship behavior. It is obvious that if the organization wishes the employees to demonstrat the beneficial organizational citizenship behavior in addition to their work roles, it can be achieved by facilitating the employee’s trust via supervisor’s ethical leadership Liang-Chih Huang 黃良志 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 87 zh-TW
