Currently, it has already been applied to a lot of occasions needing the confirming of user identity. It is not easy to forget your own signature or forge other person’s signature like password. Comparing with other biometric systems, it is admitted as the most popular way which can be accepted by everybody in identity verification. This thesis proposed an identification method combined with an accelerometer to verify the signature. After data acquisition, preprocessing and feature extraction are necessary to enhance the input data. In the comparison process the authenticity of the test specimen is evaluated by matching its features against those stored in the knowledge-base. And Neural Networks has been used for matching in this method. The experiments demonstrated that the proposed system is an effective scheme for signature verification.
