Patient hopes to use this time to do some useful things instead of waiting. This research is to develop a system to meeting the goal.
In this research, we use 802.11b/g environment in the hospital to satisfy this goal. When the patient arrives the hospital, he will get a Wi-Fi card at the check-in counter. The Wi-Fi card will show the residual waiting time and give waiting signal to owner when the residual waiting time is equal or less than walk time. So patient can do any thing he want when waiting.
The advantages of using this system including：(1) Doing more meaningful things for patients instead of waiting in the clinic waiting rooms. (2) Decreasing the chance of disease infection in the clinic waiting room. (3) Increase the utilization of clinic waiting room.
