Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 電機工程學研究所 === 97 === With the evolution of electronic technology, telemedicine become important for telecares of patients and elderly. Several widely used medical and wearable instrumentations have been integrated into a small-size with functions of simultaneous measurement, analysis and diagnosis. Moreover, the physiological information can be transmitted to the hospital for further diagnosis. Electrocardiogram (ECG) is important physiological signal. Proper ECG compression can reduce data burden in long-term recording. In particular, ECG compression is suitable for VLSI implementation due to regular data processing, and can reduce the load of the microprocessor. In this paper, the ECG signal is first decomposed by a 3-level discrete wavelet transform (DWT), then encoded by bit-depth preserving. The above algorithms were verified with the HDL Verilog and the System Generator which is developed by MATLAB and Xilinx. Finally we use Xilinx Spartan 3 DSP develop board to test our design.
