Most research about designing a cane focuses on ergonomics, mechanics and material science. A cane equipped with electronics may have better value and function. The goal of this study is to develop an electrical cane which can sense and display gripping forces and body activities by OLED. The sensed information can be stored in a SD memory card for further clinical assessment. The sensing components include a strain gauge, a load cell and an accelerometer. The strain gauge and the load cell are for measuring gripping strength. The accelerometer are for detecting body motions. J. W. Liaw H. L. Chan 廖駿偉 詹曉龍 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 107
