| Summary: | 碩士 === 中華大學 === 營建管理研究所 === 97 === In Taiwan, no objective evaluation method exists for determining required basic knowledge for project procurement management staff in private construction projects. Such basic knowledge is essential for executing project procurement management. Therefore, the education for a project procurement staff depends on the accumulation of his/her experience. Based on the project management body of knowledge developed by the Taiwan Project Management Association (TPMA), this study conducts two questionnaires to obtain the opinions from practical procurement staffs and managers. Based on statistical analysis results for first questionnaire survey, this study concludes that the essential knowledge for construction project procurement management staff include (1) communication, (2) conflicts and crisis, and (3) procurement and contracts in the area of main knowledge and experiences; (1) problem solving, (2) negotiation and meeting, and (3) value optimization in the area of additional competence; and (1) ability to communicate, (2) ability to find solutions and holistic thinking and (3) clearness in the area of personal attitude. Furthermore, the degree of requiring the knowledge and experience for project management knowledge by procurement management staffs through second questionnaire survey is higher than the values for the four certification levels suggested by TPMA. The results of knowledge requirement and evaluation meter for project procurement staffs can be the criteria for evaluating the degree of project management knowledge and recruiting project procurement staffs in construction projects.
