Each year, five hundred to six hundred individuals die of traffic accidents. Due to the constant and fast pace change of society beyond the school campus, students’ personal values and lives have been greatly affected, and because of this, their safety has also been greatly threatened. Most of the traffic accidents involve students, which is why there is a need to decrease casualties among students. Schools should devise a traffic accident mechanism that provides guidance and training as well as teach students about traffic accident prevention. This paper discusses behaviorism, and behavior change within groups to study university students in Taiwan and evaluate the relationship between their behaviors and traffic safety. The main goal is to decrease the rate of traffic accidents, decrease the death rate of from accidents, and decrease the rate of traffic law violations by discussing references from other papers, interview with professionals in this field, and create a profiled questionnaire for university students based on their behavior and personal characteristics, attendance of workshops, personal background, and experience with vehicles. Thus, we can analyze university students’ behavior and the factors that affect their attitude towards traffic laws and traffic accidents. Suggestions and conclusions will be provided after analysis and evidence. The suggestions can be a reference to the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, as well as other interested institutions for further research and development.
