Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 公共政策所 === 97 === This research constructs three organizational types, including the‘Bureaucratic Type’,‘Private Type’, and ‘Corporational Type’, of the national museums based on Max Weber’s methodology of‘ideal type’. By interviewing 12 key informants from senior directors, employees, and specialists of museum, the study analyzes the pros and the cons, conditions and limitations of each organizational type on the aspects of ‘institutional structure’, ‘operational process’ and ‘professional function’ in the trend of government reengineering. The study finds that the government usually considers only the administrative convenience and efficiency, so that ignores the unique specialty and mission of museum when the reengineering is promoted. Accompanying with incompleteness of laws and policies, many severe problems and limitations are formed in the reengineering process of national museums. This research suggests the priority of the national museum’s specialty and mission, and the related laws and measures should be completed to fulfill the actual goal of organizational reengineering.
