Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 航太與系統工程所 === 97 === In order to improve quality and reduce cost, lightening weight, raising precision and fulfilling automation become the most important issues to design and manufacture airplane parts. The major function of an engine fixed system (engine mount) is to offer enough cushion to airplane when engines generate vibration or withstand external force, especially in flight and landing. Therefore, engine mount with high strength and low weight is a design premise. The purpose of this research is appling computer aided engineering (CAE) software-ANSYS Workbench to simulate the structural deformation and fatigue of the engine mount with operating loads. The material of the main structures is Ti/6Al/2Sn/4Zr/2Mo alloy, and the material of the bolts is INCONEL ALLOY 718. Using this CAE analysis may help the designer to edevelop an engine mount with light weight and low cost.
Firstly, this research carries on the structural strength analysis based on the original design and working load of the engine mount. Secondly, we apply the same CAE analyses by changing the bolt’s torque or the diameter of the bolt’s washer. Finally, we compare the results and suggest the best design based on the safety factor and life cycle. The conclusions of this research will be helpful for further design and manufacture of the airplane engine mount system.
