Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 音樂研究所 === 97 === The history of Taiwanese popular songs from 1930s to 1960s shows its close relationship with the Taiwanese movies then. In early 1930s, many Taiwanese songs were created to promote Taiwanese movies. And from 1950s to 1960s, the two—Taiwanese popular songs and movies—even showed a very close interaction with each other. The main theme of this thesis is about how the creation of Taiwanese popular songs interacted with that of Taiwanese movies from 1930s to 1960s. The first section of this thesis focuses on how the historical background of the 30s enriched the creation of the lyrics and the melody of the songs then, and how the then movie stories triggered the creation of the songs. The second section of the thesis, however, emphasizes on how the fast development of Taiwanese songs in the 50s and 60s stimulated the creation of Taiwanese movies. The final part of the thesis seeks to highlight the value and meanings of such an interaction in those 40 years and how they had become very important resources for the entertainment industry in Taiwan then.
