In addition, this study was designed to further understand the impact of university and college students’ family social-economic status and life styles on their sport consumption intention, which will be used as new marketing strategies in the domestic sport consumption market. The study collected 1,072 valid questionnaires, using the researcher’s self-developed “University Students’ Social-Economic Status, Life Styles, Sport Consumption Behavior and Intention Survey” as the study tool. Subjects were selected applying the stratified random sampling method. The conclusions of the study were as follows: 1. The subjects were mostly females who were freshmen with monthly expenditures of “NT$ 3001 ~ 6000” in average; the family social-economic status were mostly “the middle-class family social-economic status”; the “socially active” aspect of life styles scored the highest; for the sport consumption content, the purchased of “sports shoes” was rated with the highest frequency; the sport consumption amount was mostly “none”, and the sport consumption frequency was mostly “1 ~ 2 times”. 2. Male students were higher than female ones in both the sports consumption amount and frequency; freshmen were significantly lower than the other grades of college students in the sports consumption amount; in the sport consumption frequency, freshmen were significantly lower than seniors; and there was an significant relationship between different monthly expenditures and sport consumption behavior. 3. For differences in college students’ sport consumption behavior of various family social-economic status, there was no significant difference in either the sport consumption amount or frequency. 4. There were significant differences in various life style groups and sport consumption amounts, in which the “diversified life style” was the highest in sport consumption and frequency amounts between “NT$ 101 ~ 500” and “NT$ 501 ~ 1000”; between “1 ~ 2 times” and “3 ~ 5 times”. 5. For prediction effects, “sport involvement” in life styles was the most effective in the prediction effects of demographic variables, family social-economic status, life styles and sport consumption behavior on the sport consumption intention, suggesting that the subjects who scored higher in “sport involvement” of life styles were also higher in their sport consumption intention. The prediction effects explained the 41% of variance. Yang, Chih-Hsien 楊志顯 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 140 zh-TW
