From a historical perspective of different times, it is also a purpose to study the changes of American self-consciousness as reflected in Newbery Medal Award Books from 1922 to 2000. Besides, in each different time, in order to have a better understanding of Newbery Medal Award Books, the writer will have one or two books specific discussed. Through all of the researches, firstly, the writer hopes to enrich personal studies on children’s literature in future.
