Business firms can get reward from market and maintain the growth momentum by successful New Product Development (NPD). But, the NPD needs a lot of resources and accompany with high risk to fail. Along with the current of the transnational division of labor sweeping through the world, the personal computer companies in Taiwan also change their business model from Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) to Own Designing Manufacturing (ODM). They are using their product design and development capability to compete with other emerging economics which have cheap and sufficient labors. Therefore, the NPD capability is more important these days. However, there are many studies show the high failure rate of NPD. The high failure rate means waste of resources and companies have a lots of improvement need to be done on NPD. This study widely collects the key success factors of NPD for personal computer industry and uses the Analytical Network Process (ANP) to constructe appraisal model to personal computer firm’s NPD. This appraisal model for business firms to do new product development evaluation, and in practice, business firm can also base on this system to do strategy decision making.
