Summary:碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 教育人力資源與發展學系碩士班 === 97 === The purpose of this research is to study the motivations of the elementary school teachers in Miaoli County who would like to participate in the volunteer services and the barriers to their participations. The hope is that results of this study would help improve the participation rates of elementary school teachers in the future because of more understanding of the motivations of and the obstacles to their participations. The objectives of this study are: 1. To classify the type of the volunteer services, the motivations of participation, the barriers to them. 2. To Verify both the differences of the motivations and the barriers between the volunteers from different backgrounds. 3. To identify the effectiveness of projection factors by various types of motivations and various types of barriers to volunteer services. In the study, the questionnaire survey methodology was taken. It used stratified random sampling to analyze the sampling target, the current elementary school teachers in Miaoli County. The findings and conclusions are: 1. The elementary school teachers in Miaoli County have high willingnesses and diversified motivations of participations. 2. The motivations of participation have significant changes by genders,ages, religious beliefs, and the participating experiences. 3. The barriers to participation also include differences by genders, ages,the numbers of the children they have, religious beliefs, total amount of family earnings and the participating experiences. 4. Additionally, the factors, the motivations of participation and the barriers to participatio, have effective projection rates on whether or not the elementary school teachers participate the volunteer services. The recommendations of this study as follows: The related facilitators should be based on two major types of the volunteers recruitment: educational volunteer services, physical education and cultural recreation volunteer services. Promoting community volunteering,providing communication services and family volunteering; reducing the participating barriers caused by traffic commutings and time.
