But the user does not understand clearly. Therefore the energy efficiency test of the motor reducer is an urgent topic. A brake method for motor speed reducer energy efficiency test was established in this study. The purposes of this study were test the efficiency of eleven speed reducer, 3HP with 20 reduce ratio and 1HP with 60 reduce ratio of gear speed reducer, and 1HP, 2HP, 3HP with 10,20,30 reduce ratio of worm speed reducer. The output shaft torque, output power, power ratio, input power, input and output speed were measured. The energy efficiency was calculated by these parameters. The test results showed that the energy efficiency for 3HP with 20 reduce ratio are 80.98% at full load and best efficiency is at 120% load. The energy efficiency for 1HP with 60 reduce ratio are 85.00% at full load and best efficiency is at 150% load. The energy efficiency for 2HP with 10 reduce ratio are 79.30% at full load, it increased efficiency of 4.86% with same reduce ratio. The energy efficiency for 3HP with 20 reduce ratio are 78.14% at full load, it increased efficiency of 18% with same reduce ratio. The energy efficiency for 3HP with 30 reduce ratio are 61.66% at full load, it increased efficiency of 15.91% with same reduce ratio.
