The train movement is closely related to signalling system, traction power system and rolling stock system. The Automatic Train Operation (ATO) System solves the speed command for train set operation by considering the propulsion system, track alignment and the planning timetable to achieve the efficiency of energy consumption by regulating runtime reserve. Therefore, the traction power system can provide less power for the vehicles on line to save energy. Finally, in order to demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed method, the red line of the Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit System is selected for different runtime reserve simulation analysis and test. It is concluded that the optimal timetable indeed effectively reduce the power consumption of traction supply substation. Ming-Yuan Cho 卓明遠 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 64 zh-TW
