Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 觀光與餐旅管理系 === 97 === A Study of the Key Success Factors of Hot Spring Tourism Area Student: Jui-Liang Hsu Advisor: Dr. Hsiou-Hsiang Liu Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences Abstract The purpose of the study was to construct key success factors for hot spring tourism area in Baolai and Bulao. The findings are anticipated to provide hot spring industries and government agencies to develop the referent strategy for the operation and management in the future. Meanwhile, the research methods, which were utilized in this study, are depth interviews, document analysis, Modified Delphi Method and Analytic Hierarchy Process analysis tool. According to this study, 38 experts of practicing and conducting related business in hot spring industry, government units and schooling units were interviewed for making concensus on key success factors for hot spring tourism area. The results of constructing key success factors were cited as follows: 1. Resources and environmental conditions: (1) the natural human resources; (2) public facilities and location; 2. The operation and management strategy: (1) the operation and management of environmental resources; (2) visitor management; (3) the management of the local population. 3. The external environment: (1) life style change; (2) government policy support. However, this study was to construct the appropriate key success factors-level assessment model by means of theoretical basis as the referent perspective. In addition, Baolai and Bulao hot spring tourism areas have the most critical success factors; on the other hand, the rest of the factors, which were not reached to the average, ought to refer to the adequate hot spring tourism area key success factors to simplify the basis for planning a suitable strategies to improve local utilization for sustainable development. Finally, based on the results which are being proposed by the practitioners in hot spring industry, it should be recommended that the governmental agencies and units have to follow-up the relevant issues and development as the reference of post operation and management .
