In engineering fields, many examples of using both multimedia techniques and remote sensing techniques to landscape projects show that tied in 3D virtualization of landscape engineering can build a three-dimensional visualization of the 3D space simulation configuration. Through 3D visual simulation, provides the staff for the project which will cater for the characteristics of the local landscape or visual impact caused by the local regulatory landscape of the designated design. In this study, through case analysis, the timing of using multimedia technology to the landscape engineering of ecological environment in their planning or design stage and to explore the application of occasions and the possible effects. Hope that through the presentation of multimedia effects, not only to enhance the related projects of landscape in planning or design stage of the efficiency but to create some added value. In this study, two cases would be analyzed by the commonly used multimedia software, together with remote sensing technology to build 3D digital modeling of terrain and integrated the digital models so as to simulate or demonstrate the relevant facilities being completed in the near future and will helps to understand the compliance with the requirements of the original design. Also, the rendering efficiency analysis of digital model is studied to understand the number of model surface and the number of CPU’s core, main memory, such as the relationship between hardware. The results show that: the use of 3D multimedia technology in eco-environment planning and design of landscape project works to achieve the effect of visual simulation, and provide effective channels of communication. The procedures of applying multimedia techniques to such a project like landscape engineering of ecological environment also be suggested. After the analysis of surface number of models, the relationship between the amount of RAMs and the effective of output when actual rendering was not obvious but the model complexity. The number of CPU’s core on the effect of rendering performance with quad-core capacity by as much as the work of the industry better than dual-core.
