Description
Summary:碩士 === 立德大學 === 資訊傳播研究所 === 97 === This study is to design interactive multimedia teaching materials and to explore how the RPG game design software acts as a supplemental teaching material for fifth-grade students in elementary school. The main course named “The Animal World” focuses on science study. In this experiment, four fifth-grade classes in an Elementary School of Tainan County were tested. The study is to explore differences of test results between students receive general teaching and students receive multimedia teaching. Students were divided into control group and experiment group in the test. Student abilities were also considered to see the difference. Finally, the study provided a survey to understand the students’ perceptions and suggestions. In the experiment, students who received multimedia teaching over all have better learning achievement. However, in further analysis, the study showed no significant differences among high ability students and low ability students. Furthermore, medium ability students who received multimedia teaching perform better than those who received general teaching. Low ability students who received interactive multimedia teaching also perform better than those who receiver general teaching. Through the questionnaire, most students who received interactive multimedia teaching hold positive responses. Integrating game software with science study makes the teaching materials more fun and also promotes the learners’ interests. In science teaching, incorporating digital techniques into teaching can make up the impossibility of observing complete life cycle of animals, and can help students learn more concepts about animal.
