Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 資訊科學與工程學系所 === 97 === The image compression technology plays a very important role with respect to the rapid improvement of multimedia communication system.To accelerate the performance of image compression, a hardware circuit has been used to speed up the system operating speed. To achieve this goal, many hardware testing and diagnostic skills have been developed
and introduced to ensure the correctness of circuit. After that, another issue naming reliability has to be considered seriously to guarantee the circuit can be work normally during a product life cycle. Currently, there are several researches proposed the off-line and on-line BIST and BISR
mechanism to raise the system reliability. However, all these currently mentioned skills are not able to provide an on-line real-time repair mechanism. This is very important while we consider several critical applications.
In this thesis, we propose a new on-line real-time BISR method to ensure the system can be recovered in a very short time. To demonstrate the proposed method efficiency, we select a two dimensional discrete cosine transform circuit as an example. A new transparent interleave test
skill has been first introduced. Meanwhile, we also provide an evaluation of system confidence to prove the effectiveness of our proposed method. Here, we adopt the Matlab as a simulation tool to verify the theoretic
correctness of proposed method. Moreover, we also use Verilog to implement the total system to demonstrate the feasibility of our method. The experimental results show that our method has much confidence.
