Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 應用經濟學系所 === 97 === The purpose of this study is to simulate the cost of reducing CO2 emissions in Taiwan and to formulate appropriate strategies for sustainable development. In order to achieve this objective, a multi-objective programming integrated with an input-output analysis is constructed to estimate the cost of reducing CO2 emissions for the Taiwan economy and major industries. Empirical data is collected and various scenarios for mitigating industrial CO2 emissions are simulated. We explore policy alternatives for better resource allocation under the conflicting objectives of economic growth and CO2 emissions. The empirical results show that the cost of reducing CO2 emissions range from NT$ 76,000 to NT$ 96,000 per ton. Some policy implications are also elaborated upon in order to provide in-depth viewpoints.
