Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 精密工程學系所 === 97 === The development of backlight module, has mainly focused on high luminance, high uniformity, low cost. However, flexibility has also become the future development target of backlight module as well as light weight and energy saving. The flexibility technologies nowadays are mainly focused on the liquid crystal module on the front side of display, the probability of flexible backlight module hasn’t risen many concerns. This research will focus on the flexibility of backlight module on the back side of display. This research bases on present flexible backlight module technology and develop a new flexible backlight module using optical simulation software. We will use high power LED as a point source, combing with light guide pipe similar to optical fibers, and fabricate v-cuts on its surface. This way, we can get a uniform line source. In the last step, we make use of a flexible light guide plate and its micro dots to get a uniform area source and achieve light weight, slim-shaped, energy-saving, high endurance and high uniformity.
