Our technological applications and competitiveness have thereby also been enhanced. Thanks to steady developments in microcomputing, images are no longer limited to two dimensions, and 3D images are becoming exceedingly popular. Because of computing capacity and sophisticated operation, 3D images are like objects which have come to life. This allows viewers to experience vivid visual effects and virtual reality through the Internet. Many governments are currently promoting the digital content industry and developing digital archives of value-added applications. The library serves the mission to enrich collections and preserve abundant cultural assets. Thus, it is necessary for a library to build an online digital archive of 3D objects. The library patrons can enjoy virtual reality designed for a 3D imaging system through Internet websites and the 3D digital technology keeps library collections sustainable. Academia and cultural industries may also make use of such information and material for communication, cultural exchanges, and revealing a new definition of a traditional library archive. While 3D imaging simulation technology is reaching maturity, the level of its use is still growing rapidly. Applications have been produced where the traditional static graphics supported can be easily turned into unlimited variations derived from 3D simulation. This study is based on the 3D imaging system of a library’s value-added service to extend the 2D space development and design a 3D imaging system with 360-degree rotating uniaxial, dynamic rotation, zooming, moving and other functions.
