Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 中國文學系碩博士班 === 97 === Liou-yuan (1768-1855), the Szechwan Manchu Dynasty scholar, who devoted himself to writing and teaching throughout his whole life had the reputation of “Master of Western Sichuan”.During the wirting and teaching, what Liou-yuan did was a great contribution to setting up the folk relegion “Liou-men-jiao”.(「劉門教」)In the process of lecturing, writing and preaching, the overall notion Liou-yuan held was to illuminate people the way to conserve one’s virtue of nature which meant that the Confucian doctrine’s practicing and the “The Great Learning”(《大學》) as well as “The Doctrine of the Mean”’s (《中庸》)moral conduct were the most imperative bases. The conception integration could prevalently be seen in Liou-yuan’s theories, such as “ to blend Confucianism and Buddhism as well as Taoism,” “internal and external tranings and accomplishments were supposed to be together” and “to combine Zhu Xi’s theoried with Wang Yang Ming’s,” which sew integration as a method for creating a brand-new theory. In the essay, there are five chapters to discuss Liou-yuan’s thoughts on “The Great Learning”, “The Doctrine of the Mean”, namely, an introduction, an investigation on Liou-yuan’s academic achievement and his life, a specification of Liou-yuan’s deliberation on “The Great Learning”, an analysis of Liou-yuan’ “The Doctrine of the Mean”, and a conclusion. Through this essay, I hope that the essentials of Liou-yuan’s deliberation on “The Great Learning”, “The Doctrine of the Mean” can be revealed, and eveyone can get further knowledge of this Szechwan Manchu Dynasty scholar.
