In order to provide a high level of continuity and quality of power to the customers, the multi-phase reclosing technique has been used in transmission system. In this paper, the minimal cut set method is used to analysis the reliability of multi-phase reclosing transmission system. Combining with the different substation frameworks, the optimal operation mode could be obtained. For acquiring the precise reliability models, it is essential to provide the correct operation and consistent collection of data. It’s a pleasure to have the raw data of needed variables from Taipower within 1996~2007 which are the statics of number of outages, frequency, total outage time and mean duration for the equipments of substations.
