The principal and von Mises stresses are computed to evaluate the effects of all influence factors on the integrated reconstructed structure. There exists the stress shielding effect on the mandible when reconstruct plate is removed. It is important to understand the influence of plate position on the stress distribution when the mandible is reconstructed by using the titanium plate. The residual stresses on the plate should also be considered when the fatigue failure is evaluated. The results show that the stress in mandible can be deviated when the graft is located at upper position. The stress shielding effect occurs near the connection of mandible and graft when reconstructed plate is removed, especially when the graft is located at lower position. If the titanium plate is used, no differences in stress distribution are observed for upper, middle, or lower position where the plated is attached. In conclusion, we suggest that the graft is designed at upper position with or without titanium plate for reconstruct mandible. Before reconstructing surgery, the residual stress induced in the plate depends on the way how to bend the titanium plate. The result shows that the residual stress will enhance the fatigue possibility if the plate is bent counterclockwisely. Ching-Hwei Chue 褚晴暉 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 59 zh-TW |
