Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 政治學研究所 === 97 === Performing Arts are one of the important links of cultural and creative industries. They are not only cultural assets, but also the economic resources of cultural and creative industries. Changhua County Yuan Lin Performance Hall is more than just a performing venue for national cultural heritage. It is the highest level facility among all recreation types. Its integrated functions meet the local residents’ demand for leisure. In addition, the significant changes in man’s leisure and consumption patterns at the end of the twentieth century, the upgrading of standards of education, and the wealth brought about by the knowledge-based economy have made the appreciation of music, drama, dance and other performing arts gradually become one of the main leisure activities in the twenty-first century. Taking Changhua County Yuan Lin Performance Hall as an example and from the perspective of consumers, the study aims to examine the relationship among willingness to spending, personal background, motivation and the assessment criteria prior to the attendance of the performance. Through the review of literature with respect to domestic and foreign consumers who pay to participate in performing arts activities and integrated with the argument of consumer behavior patterns, the study summarizes the factors that have been identified as being involved in some way with personal characteristics, motivation and assessment criteria prior to the attendance. The quantitative research using methods such as questionnaires and the qualitative research through in-depth interviews are adopted to collect data. The results show that personal background, motivation and assessment criteria prior to attendance are significantly related to the consumer’s willingness to participate in performance arts activities. Based on the findings, the study would like to provide summaries and recommendations as follows: 1. Yuan Lin Performance Hall should continue to offer a wide array of performing arts themed recreational and entertainment activities that are appropriate for weekend and holiday attendance. 2. They should actively cooperate with local performing groups and schools to jointly provide performing activities for residents. 3. Peripheral hardware and software facilities around the Performance Hall should be upgraded to meet the demand of people who love sound and light stimulation.
