The semi-structured interview was used to acquire rich data from the five informants who studied in college, as well as their teachers and schoolmates. The major findings were as follows: 1.Learning adjustment Five of the informants could self-control for their performance in the class, such as high attendance, handing in the assignment on time, taking notes, and concentrating in the class. All of them had encountered difficulties in learning. Five of the informants might lack the prior knowledge, study plan and study strategies, and the course was too difficult for them. If teachers speaked quickly and writed notes on the blackboard fast, some of the informants couldn’t finish copying their notes. Three of the informants said that they couldn’t understand what teachers teach. For coping with learning difficulties, five of the informants would not hesitate to ask for help when needed. They relied on study guidance, asking for help from teachers and classmates, using assistive device, and finding information on the internet to have better classroom understanding. 2.Interpersonal adjustment Most informants said that high school friends were closer than college friends. Five of the informants usually maked friends with classmates who sat nearby them, and most of informants would prefer to stay at home. All of them had encountered difficulties in interpersonal interaction. Five of the informants might have experience of being rejected or teased by their classmates. They couldn’t comprehend what others said to them, exhibited inappropriate social behavior, and had few friends. Based on the results of this study, the researcher’s reflections and suggestions were presented. 周台傑 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW |
