Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 特殊教育學系所 === 97 === The purpose of this study explored the career choice and career barriers for senior-high-school students with intellectual disabilities in special education schools. The data for this paper were obtained from 283 students who studied in special education schools on Taiwan. The instrument used in this paper was a questionnaire titled “The Career Choice and Career Barriers for senior-high-school Students with Mental Retardation.” The collected data are analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA and stepwise multiple regressions. The major findings in the research are given below: 1.The situation of career choice and career barriers for senior-high-school students with intellectual disabilities in special education schools is common. 2.There were significant differences among most variables in the study. 3.The degree of intellectual disability, the residential area and the peer relationship are important predictabilities. A combined predictability variance of 18% can be derived from the three variables. Recommendations are offered concerning the implications of these findings for administration, teaching, parents and further research.
