The research was conducted in questionnaire survey and the teachers of public junior high school of 69 of Taichung County and Taichung City were targeted . The sampling is in stratified random sampling based on the size of school , and valid samples are 542 . The data obtained were worked through descriptive statistics ,t-test , one-way ANOVA, Scheff Post Hoc Multiple Comparison, and Canonical Correlation for analysis and treatment.The conclusion obtained from the research is: 1. For the teachers who score high in the work values scale . The category they got the highest scores is “security & welfare” construct , while the category they got the lowest scores is “achievement & prestige” construct . 2. There is still a lot to be improved about teachers’ job satisfaction , which is on average at middle level . The highest scores fall on “work itself” construct , while the lowest sco-res fall on “regalation & policy” construct . 3. The work values and job satisfaction of junior high school teacher are different due to personal background variables. (1) Among the variables of the background of junior high school teachers, sex, age,marital status, education background, seniority, present position, size of school and located of school have signi-ficant difference in whole and part of the levels of work values . (2) Among the variables of the background of junior high school teachers, sex, age,marital status, education background, seniority, present position, size of school and located of school have signi-ficant difference in whole and part of the levels of jobsatisfaction . 4. According work values , the junior high school teachers can be divided into three groups . There are “high-requested teachers” , “balanced teachers” and“free-reined teachers” . These three groups have significant difference in whole job satisfaction and “ work itself ” ,“ salary & rewards”, “administration & leadership”and “ teachers-students relationship ” construct . 5.
