Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 化學系 === 97 === Colchicine is useful in suppressing the inflammation in acute gouty arthritis. It also can damage the bone marrow causing severe anemia and low white blood counts when patients receiving long-term therapy. Reducing white blood cell counts can increase the risk of infections. This thesis describes the synthesis of colchicine derivatives from the advanced intermediate A1 by Morita-Baylis-Hillman reaction. To synthesize the derivative in the hope that can increasing the effect on gout and reducing the severe side effects. The finding of a method to synthesize bromo-derivative A2 which can easily be displaced by nucleophiles, and facilitate the preparation of derivatives for the future.
