We employ a data set composed of 331 firm-year observing points from the sampled publicly listed firms in Taiwan during the period from 2001 to 2008, and logistic regression to test the hypotheses. Empirical results suggest that a firm’s degree of internationalization have a significant impact on the certification of ISO 14001. Moreover, the experience of ISO 9000 and the orientation of corporate social responsibility of a firm are both significantly positively correlated with its likelihoods of obtaining a certification for ISO 14001.
