Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處幼稚園教師教學碩士班 === 97 === Abstract The purpose of this study: Design teaching methods in picture books to strengthen young children’s capacity to manage their emotions and behavior. Analyze the effectiveness of picture books teaching for the promoting of young children’s emotional competence. The program was researched from children of tomato class of preschool/kindergarten in Hsinchu. Using ten picture books to design a series of teaching activities to strengthen young children’s capacity to manage their emotions and behavior. In this study, I used data collection of The Scales for Children’s Emotional Competence Development, teaching records, and documentation of teaching self-reflection as a method, and I also used both quantitative and qualitative research approaches to analyze data. Based on the research, we found that teaching through picture books can help detecting young children’ literacy, understanding of their own emotions with others and learning to express and regulate their emotions for it can enhance young children’s emotional competence. Based on the findings, I put forward the following proposals: 1. Choose the right picture books and make curriculum plans according to children’s emotional competence. 2. Grasp young children’s emotion to design activities. 3. Use interesting teaching techniques, teaching aids and computer multimedia to attract young children’s attention. 4. Teach students by opportunities from things which happen to them. 5. Combine the different issues around life education and gender education. 6. Do the research from the children of new arrivals.
