The research objects are 33 elementary school students in Taoyuan county. The researcher designs courses and uses Orff teaching elements such as body movement, speech, instrumental ensemble, and improvisations, and then integrates those teaching methods into the Arts and Humanities Area Curriculum. In the process of studying, the researcher himself is the course instructor, and assisted by one home room teacher and two experts of the Orff Approach as well. The researcher collects related articles and information in advance. In addition, the main sources of data collecting are the diary kept during the teaching process, the interviews of students and the assistant teacher, worksheets of students, and so on. At last, after referring to suggestions of authority, analyzing and categorizing the data, the researcher come up with the following conclusions: First, the Orff Approach applys to the Arts and Humanities Area Curriculum appropriately. (1)It corresponds to the spirit of Arts and Humanity. (2)It achieves the thematic integration. Second, incorporate the Orff Approach into the Arts and Humanities Area Curriculum has a noticeable effect. (1)It is highly accepted by students. (2)It helps reaching goals of the curriculum. Third, the teaching model based on bar instruments applys to the Arts and Humanities Area Curriculum appropriately. (1)Students enjoy playing the bar instruments. (2)The variety of using bar instruments abound teaching contents. Forth, while using the Orff Approach, it is important to have professional teachers, enough instruments and good teaching environment. Fifth, problems related to use Orff Approach in teaching environment are solved by the action research. Finally, according to the result of study, the researcher offers some suggestions and references for teachers, school executives, educational organization and the researcher who wants to make for the research in the future. 陳淑文 學位論文 ; thesis 191 zh-TW
