This research utilized the qualitative-oriented case study method and the collected data included interview transcripts, observations, documents, and reflective journals. Thick descriptions, data triangulation, member checking, and peer debriefing were used in order to establish trustworthiness. The research results were as follows: (1) The mobile library of the Hualien Ola Association, a non-profit organization, had provided reading opportunities for the children of remote areas in Hualien county. The dream of the mobile library had been achieved due to the Ola Association’s initiatives and accumulations of promoting reading experiences; (2) the most difficulties of the management operation were the human resources, propaganda, and the funds. The solutions were the application for Diverse Employment Opportunities of the Council of Labor Affairs, the distribution of quarterly publication and the establishment of a blog, as well as the application for the public sector’s plans; (3) the mobile library was another learning space for children besides the school, and a part of the community resources; and (4) the mobile library retired and settled down at the Dawn Community. The second generation mobile library, donated by a private foundation, continued the mission of extending children’s reading visions in remote areas. This research proposed three suggestions regarding the management of the mobile library of the Hualien Ola Association: (1) recording the results of the activities so that they could serve as references for future activities; (2) promoting thematic readings in accordance with the school’s features, and adding books related to the aboriginal cultures; and (3) expanding the propaganda efforts in order to obtain more funds and resources. Two implications for picture-book libraries were also provided. Keywords: mobile library of picture-books, mobile library, picture books, reading 鄭束芬 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 124 zh-TW |

碩士 === 國立花蓮教育大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 97 === Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the mobile library’s development progress including: (1) to understand the mobile library’s development history, (2) to analyze its management operation, (3) to discover its influences on the community, and (4) to learn its future prospects.
