The subjects were sixteen athletics of senior high school with burnout at i-lan, their mean age were 15.5 years, assigned randomly to the experiment group or control group. The experiment group participated in the group counseling, which was conducted for 60 minutes per session, and continuing ten sessions in five weeks. The Athletic Burnout Scale was used for the measurement of two groups, to compare with the differences of pre-test, post-test and with that of tracing-test after two weeks in this study. After analyzing the collected data using the paired t-test as the statistic tool, and the findings in the present study are as follows: The experiment group was significantly immediate effect after a group counseling on the athletics of senior high school with mental withdrawal. The experiment group was no significantly immediate effect after a group counseling on the athletics of senior high school with “emotional and “physical exhaustion”,“coaches’ and teammates’ devaluation”,“negative self-concept about athletic ability”and “perception about personal athletic performance”.The experiment group was significantly continuous effects with. “negative self-concept about athletic ability and “mental withdrawal”The experiment group was no significantly continuous effects with “emotional andphysical exhaustion”, “coaches’ and teammates’ devaluation“perception about personal athletic performance” There was no difference in “team satisfaction” between the experiment group and control group. Finally, we came to a conclusion according to the results of this research, and some suggestions were made for further studies in the area of counseling affairs.
