However, in order to seek higher profits, Taiwan''s investment in Europe has changed, flowing from western to eastern Europe. By 2000, the top 5 manufacturers of electronics, including Flextronics and Clelstica, had started their businesses in the Czech Republic to supply Europe with their products. Amid the trend of the transnational outreaching, Taiwan-based investors, e.g. Hon Hai, FIC, Liteon, Quanta, and Inventec, also surged into the Czech markets to satisfy the needs of European markets. In recent years, more and more Asian investors, especially those in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and Singapore, have chosen Czech as their starting point for their strategic investment in Europe. Report released in Jul. 2004 by U.S.-based A. T. Kearney showed that Czech ranked the fourth as the most attractive investment destination, only next to India, China and Malaysia. Czech''s cheap but high-quality labor force has earned a fine reputation from nations worldwide. It also has a high level of internationalization, and there is little inter-cultural difficulties in commercial cooperation. Therefore, when Taiwan investors map out their eastern Europe strategy, hence entering the IT industry in Poland Hungry, Russia, and Ukraine, Czech is the best choice. The "Czech in the east, Holland in the West" will be the best strategy when Taiwan investors enter the EU market. Chih-ming Chung 鍾志明 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 130 zh-TW
