Description
Summary:碩士 === 南華大學 === 美學與視覺藝術學系碩士班 === 97 === The pot represents an important social function and cultural significance in the Paiwan society which indicates not only a tribal cultural symbol but also an important cultural asset. In the fast-changing society, the traditional craft is confronted with the impact of the consumption and globalization. As tossed and entangled by the industrial, economic, consumptive and political fields, will the traditional craft with the tribal nature and cultural features be affected by the altered grand era and environment? Or will the proper methods and strategies be responded to such a trend? It demands the involvement of the cultural alteration and industrial transformation to clarify and implement actively and effectively the problems and strategies as for the relevant issues concerning the indigenous cultural inheritance, management and sustaining development. This paper attempts to employ the pot cultural creative industry in Jhengsing Village, Taimali Township, Taitung County as the subject to conduct the qualitative research by the ethnography and field survey based on the symbolism at the aesthetic and cultural industrial perspectives to analyze the interrelation between the pot and the Paiwan legends and mythology, patterns and origins of clans, the inner categories and alteration and the context between the pot and the Paiwan culture, and further to explore the possible developmental trend and methods of the Paiwan pot cultural industry by putting it in the entire social environment. It anticipates that through such research and reflection, the tribal peoples may stand firm on the motherland with the global perspectives and perceive the precious culture as pondering the opportunity and adversity of the future development of the indigenous traditional craft; moreover, even confronted with the external economic system, they may keep maintaining and enhancing the unique Paiwan pot cultural asset while they create the economic benefits with the cultural creative thoughts and actions
