Summary:碩士 === 高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 97 === Based on 1th-9th Grade Curriculum of Junior High Schools and Elementary Schools, which was declared by Ministry of Education on 2003, this study examines textbooks qualified by Ministry of Education in 2008 and analyzes the distribution of ability indices in the third learning stage of development of technology. It also discusses the content of development of technology in all versions of textbooks and compares the differences among these textbooks. Main results found are listed below: 1.Distributions of ability indices of “Development of Technology” among all versions of textbooks are similar. Ability index “Understanding Machines, Materials, and Energies” appears most frequently while ability indices “Understanding Age of Industry” and “Understanding Common Vehicular and Entertaining Utilities” appear least frequently. 2. Distributions of content classification of “Development of Technology” among all versions of textbooks are similar but not uniform. Overall, “Electrical and Mechanical Applications” appears most frequently while “Habitation” appears least frequently. There are different features of content classification of all versions of textbooks. In Newton version, “Electrical and Mechanical Applications” and “Foods, Creatures and Energies” are mentioned most times. In Nan-I version, “Habitation”, “Information and Media”, and “Materials” are mentioned most times. In Kang Hsuan version, “Transportation” and “Environmental Protection” are mentioned most times. In Han Lin version, “Manufacture” is mentioned most times. 3. There are few systematic introductions of development of technolo-gy in all versions of textbooks. There are points and separate introductions in these textbooks. Main contents are displayed in special columns. Index-related technology nouns are seldom mentioned in these textbooks.
